Mountain View Chalet

We spent a few days here in August, and we loved it. Very convenient location if you want quick access to downtown Gatlinburg and the national park. The space was clean and comfortable. As others have commented on, there is a family of bears that live on/near the property. We sat for hours on the balcony and watched the 4 cubs play. Such a cool experience!

it was the best trip we could have had to the Smoky mountains the views were wonderful the fresh air the Airbnb was amazing with the amenities loved everything about it. we have multiple counters with the bears and it was amazing to see them but we kept our distance! definitely would recommend!!!! hope to stay again one day

Can’t beat these views! Awesome place to stay and super close to the Gatlinburg strip and hikes. Lots of perks come with this place including access to a beautiful community pool. The neighborhood was super quiet which made for a relaxing week. We felt safe in the area and will certainly be returning. The kitchen came fully equipped with items for us to cook anything we wanted. If we had any issues the host was able to respond and help quickly. The living room, bedroom, and loft were comfortable and felt homey. Be sure to bring lots of bug spray if you plan to sit on the porch!

Extremely cozy and beautiful home! The views are stunning, it’s a quiet neighborhood, the unit was very clean and was stocked with hotel soaps and a hair dryer (always nice to know so we don’t have to bring one). There are three other units near this one, these were all vacant during our stay but even if there were occupied this chalet has plenty of privacy from them. The hot tub was thoroughly enjoyed after a couple long days of hiking. We read in other reviews some issues with the fireplaces, we discovered they are disabled during the summer months - a detail we missed in the listing. Not a deal breaker, but good to be aware of. Jacuzzi was also great, extremely clean and endless hot water! Great way to relax and watch a movie. Perfect for a couples retreat!

This cabin was super cute, set up well. There is a neighborhood bear that does rounds, and that's fun too. We used the hot tub and the sauna, both worked just fine. The space and location was perfect. High enough in the mountains for some fun drives! We had an amazing time in the area hiking, mountain coasters and Moonshine Tasting. So much fun!

From the moment we walked in, we knew we had picked the best place for our vacation. The cabin was stunning and had all we needed to make a few meals at home, and the view from every space in the cabin was amazing. Shane's place is magical. Very peaceful and away from the madness of Gatlinburg town centre. We saw a mother bear and her 3 babies within 15mins of being there from the balcony...magical experience.

My husband and I spent 4 nights at the cabin and it was AWESOME!!!! Justin and Shane were very quick to reply back whenever I had a question for them. The only complaint I have is both fireplace didn’t work. I didn’t feel like having someone come fix it while I was in the cabin but other than that everything was great and exactly how they described and the view was absolutely beautiful. I will definitely book again with Shane and Justin.

We stayed here to go skiing at Ober Mountain and it was so relaxing. The hot tub and sauna are wonderful after a day of hiking or skiing. There's a huge bath tub with jets too. It was very peaceful.

Great place that was a little tricky to find initially (at least for us), Google Maps definitely wants you to access it from S Baden Dr. Definitely spacious enough and was really clean. The view of Smoky Mountains with the city below was quite the sight to see.

Immediately knew this was where we wanted to stay for the weekend when we found it online, and it did not disappoint when we got there. The jacuzzi was hot and ready for us when we arrived, the fire place was ready to light up, and the place was pristine. Our one regret is that we only got to stay for a night. Major appreciation to Shane and Justin for their quick responsiveness and attention to detail on our check in process. Saw a momma bear and her two cubs as soon we got there and had a beautiful view of the recently snow capped Smoky Mountains. Will come back here eventually.

Shane’s Airbnb was such a great place to stay! My husband and I were looking for a quaint, romantic getaway and this was the perfect find! The amenities like the garden tub, hot tub and sauna were such a unique addition and added to the stay! The place was very home like and even Christmas decorated, we would certainly recommend this place to anyone and would love to stay again in the future!

The cabin is spectacular. Everything was as described and the views were unreal. Shane was extremely helpful, and even had a new fridge brought to the cabin when we reached out to let him know the fridge was not working. We loved every minute.

My husband,toddler and I had a great stay here. It was so clean and the view from the porch was incredible! We were greeted by 6 black bears upon arrival, which, while a little nerve wracking with a little one, turned out to be so exciting and the highlight of the trip for her. The neighbors nearby helped us - it is a great little community and very nice to escape the hustle of Gatlinburg! The hosts are very responsive and helpful and automatically checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed the hot tub and everything this place had to offer!

This chalet was up in the mountains from downtown Gatlinburg and not remotely walkable (incredibly steep terrain if not used to mountain neighborhoods); however, this feature rewards you with incredible views and tranquility from the hustle and bustle of town. Challenging to find for delivery drivers (we ordered pizza one night) but the host provides excellent directions if you follow them exactly. Overall, we enjoyed our mini retreat!

This place was so beautiful and comfy. Balconies from kitchen AND bedroom had spectacular views of mountains, sun, tree tops, and endless magnificent butterflies and fireflies at night. Great place to see bears too. Extremely clean! Had everything we needed to make home cooked meals and also cozy living room. Spacious and cool layout. Sauna and bathtub jacuzzi were the cherry on top.

We spent our 10 year anniversary at the cabin. It was our first time to Gatlinburg. The mountains are beautiful! (I made my husband drive because the climb is not for the weak at heart) The cabin itself was very cute and comfortable. The view is amazing; I spent most of the time there sitting on the balcony. The kitchen is great and has everything you need. My husband enjoyed the sauna and I the jetted tub. The bbq grill was brand new. We saw several bears, which was fun. Justin is very responsive and polite. He gave us the best anniversary recommendation; we thoroughly enjoyed the Dancing Bear Appalachian Bistro. Overall, we had a great time!

We throughly enjoyed staying in this cozy cabin for our honeymoon. We loved the winding of the roads and the scenery leading up to the cabin. Our first night arriving at the cabin, we saw a black bear on the side of the road, which we had to get a video of. The house is tucked away and private, which we loved. It was a beautiful house with all of the amenities that we needed. This cabin helped to make our honeymoon special and we are forever grateful for that! I could go on and on about all the amazing things about this house, but I would run out of characters. I’d recommend this cabin to anyone and I hope that we can be back again in the future! We had such a great time on our vacation! The cabin is exactly as described and matches the pictures. The hosts are quick to respond to any messages or concerns you may have. They had clear instructions on how to enter the address in the GPS to ensure it took you to the driveway correctly. The driveway has two signs on it as it shares the same driveway for a few cabins but the number for the house is clearly listed at the driveway. We did see bears multiple times during our stay so make sure to lock all of your doors! The cabin has a pretty view of the mountains but is also about 10 min from downtown Gatlinburg so it’s super convenient! You do have to drive up some windy roads to get to the cabin but it honestly isn’t that bad, just go slowly. The roads were not busy for us during our stay. Highly recommend!

Very nice place. The location was a good distance from the busy attractions but close enough to anywhere you want to go. We prefer being away from the noise so it was great. Great view over looking Gatlinburg and the park. We will keep this on a favorites to visit again. Our only regret was it was too warm to take advantage of the fireplace.

This was a beautiful place to stay. We really enjoyed being there. It was cozy but still had the perfect amount of room to move around. the view is gorgeous. The host and their team are always responsive. So glad we stayed there.

Absolutely STUNNING place! The mountain views were breathtaking and so serene for our honeymoon getaway. The home was modern and stylish, yet still has a cozy cabin feel. The best of both worlds! The sauna and hot tub were relaxing, and the bath tub was huge! We had a great time. My only recommendation is ladies, bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and body wash!

Our stay at the property was near perfect. We had a very minor issue which I only mention because the Host was amazing and responsive getting everything in order. The property was great and was a wonderful 22nd anniversary stay for us. We often worry locations will have very steep, narrow single lane roads that are hard to navigate in the dark, this location was easy to get to (with provided directions from host). The road is winding but well lit where needed and wide enough paved roads right to the property. We would happily stay here again. Heed the wildlife warnings, and bringing back leftovers, we were visited by a few bears on multiple nights.

You need to go up a very winding road to get to the Airbnb, but it is worth it. The views from the house are spectacular.
The house is a great romantic getaway. There is a well-stocked kitchen but bring coffee with you, there is a drip and a keurig. There is a huge tub and sauna in the bedroom and right outside is a hot tub. They are all very clean. There is a bathroom in the bedroom, but it does not have a door so did go upstairs to use bathroom. There is a fireplace on both floors that are very easy to use. Make sure you lock your car doors because we show bears every day in the yard. A very enjoyable trip to see the fall colors. I will be back to this house.

We visited this cabin to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary! The cabin was so cozy. My husband just kept saying “it feels like home”. The cabin looks exactly like the pictures and has a beautiful view from the deck. The cabin is located just up the hill from downtown Gatlinburg - but at the end of the strip which made it easier for parking. We utilized apple maps and made it to the cabin without any confusion each time. Great visit.

Clean updated beautiful cabin with all the amenities. We didn’t spend too much time in the cabin as we were out exploring! ⛰️ The narrow windy roads up the mountain were a little unnerving but we got used to it and made for a better stay as it was the only time we were able to see bears everyday! 🐻 We will be back!!

Great stay. The View outside the balcony is amazing of the Smoky Mountains. Lots of room inside and easy drive to Gatlinburg. We will definitely be back if in the area. One thing I did not know and to keep in mind is that bears can open car doors. Definitely consider staying here!

This cabin was just as described. Newer kitchen and baths which was nice. Only a couple miles from all the action downtown as well as many hiking trails in the Smokey mountains. Wish it was a little closer so we didn’t have to pay for parking every day but then wouldn’t have the viewThere are 3 clubhouses available with tons to do. We only made it down there once as we had plenty of other things planned but if you are caught with a rainy day don’t worry you can bring the kids down there to play ping pong and plenty of other things. Hot tub, a bottle of wine and a deck of cards made for the perfect ending of a long hiking day. Shane always responded within a couple minutes of me sending a message. Just make sure you do so before getting into town or you might not have service until you make it to the house and get on WiFi. We got pizza from the store on the way up the mountain, It was great! Thank you for sharing your cabin, we loved it all and will definitely consider staying again

Great location, spectacular views, super clean. We had so much fun on our trip. 4 adults all over 40. One couple slept on the pullout couch. We did locate a foam mattress topper for it. They said it was pretty comfortable with the topper. Kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans, utensils and a regular coffee maker and a keurig. Would definitely stay here again!

Just as pictured. Amazing location in the woods, we saw black bears from our deck balcony. The place was very clean and spacious. Master on the bottom floor with sauna was amazing. Really enjoyed the hot tub every night. Hosts were always responsive and polite, we had no issues with checkin. I will stay here next time I visit Gatlinburg!

My husband and I have made many trips to RMNP, so we were excited to visit the Smoky mountains. This cabin was the perfect spot. Up and away from the hustle of bustle of Gatlinburg with a beautiful view of the mountains each morning and evening. Very clean, everything we needed for a quiet evening after hiking each day. Especially the hot tub!! Owners easy to communicate with. Road up to cabin is your typical mountain climb with some switchbacks. Well worth the drive if your looking for a peaceful getaway.

We loved our getaway to this home. It was so clean. The hot tub and the sauna were great to relax in. Views were amazing! We saw a momma bear with her 3 cubs on the property when we were on the deck! So cool to see them that close! So much to do around town. The skylift was such a great time with great views of the mountains. Weather was beautiful when we stayed in April 2023.
